Evidence, not intuition. I help organizations drive measurable business outcomes by fixing their most complicated business and systems problems. I fix those problems by designing services, products, process enhancements, communications strategies, and reorganizations.
I form and test hypotheses allowing me to de-risk and discover simultaneously. My process is scientific. I make discoveries, create data, and use them to inform my work.
“Build a direct-to-consumer business that fosters lifelong customer relationships.” That was MetLife's brief after they realized no one cares about them when switching employers or benefits packages. MetLife challenged us to create continuous engagement and loyalty with their end customers (not the businesses who buy their products) resulting in higher customer lifetime value.
Hi, I'm Chris—a New York-based leader, designer, and strategist. I’ve led product and design teams at Wondersauce, Goldman Sachs, Lippincott, and MetLife, where I served as Head of Design for their direct-to-consumer business. Most recently, I was the first designer at Jane Street, a quantitative trading firm. There I founded and established their design practice.
I've been designing systems, services, experiences, and interfaces, for over 15 years. I focus on driving business outcomes through human-centered design. I do that through distilling and solving complex systems problems with transformative simplicity. I enjoy this work so much, that I started my own firm, ValueForm, so my team and I can tackle these problems daily.
When I'm not pushing pixels, I'm usually pushing heavy weights in the gym, shooting clay pigeons, and trying to jump–start my career as an amateur racing car driver.
